Kim Kardashian Ties the Knot!

“Keeping up with the Kardashians” star Kim Kardashian has officially tied the knot to athlete Kris Humphries. The star-studded event featured 50,000 flowers, three custom couture gowns and around million dollars in diamonds. While the big day was over the top, it was exactly what the bride was dreaming about.

As the second sister of the Kardashian trio to get married, Kim wanted to be sure everything was perfect. Married on August 20th, the two said their vows I Montecito, California at a private estate where minimal media was allowed. In fact, People Magazine was one of the few companies to snag all the knitty gritty details about Kim’s wedding day. Lorraine Schwartz supplied the bling and world-renowned chef – Wolfgang Puck served his delicious entrees to the 400 guests in attendance. All of the elegance and glamour was topped off by Kourtney Kardashian’s son – Mason (20-months old – as the adorable and memorable ring bearer wearing a tiny custom made tuxedo.

Of course Kim Kardashian isn’t the only celebrity to get married in 2011.

• A private ceremony on Necker Island was held for the wedding of Vanessa Minnillo and former pop singer and reality television star Nick Lachey. Lachey was first married to singer Jessica Simpson and the two were the stars of “Newlyweds.”

• Wearing a tiered southern-style dress, Luisana Lopiloto married Crooner Michael.

• The first royal wedding of the year went to Zara Phillips, granddaughter to the queen, who married Mike Tindal – a rugby player – in Scotland.

• Model Abby Clancy married Peter Crouch.

• Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz tied the knot in June at a secret ceremony with only four guests.
